Hello and welcome to another boring page about a boring webmaster. I have way too much time on my hands and you can blame my many friends with their own about me pages for inspiration to make my own. I've actually had this page up for a while but I have not typed in it at all. Well I'm not a very intersting person to say the least. But if you are vaguely interested in what I have to say about myself (being the conceited person that I am), then go ahead and view the webpage as you see fit.

My name is Devyn. I was born on September 23, 1987 and I'm 21 years old. I'm a Libra/Rabbit (which I posess no traits of either so it's pointless). I currently reside in the United States in the heart of Black Mesa Research Facility deep in the Southwest. D8 No seriously! It's not a fake place created by a video game!

I'm introverted, shy, conceited, blunt and stubborn. I'm a nerd both on the inside and on the outside. I don't like elitists or cliques. I normally keep to myself, mind my own business and fight for what I believe is right (which I am mostly hated for. I have a personality I do speak it). I am not religious at all and support the new discoveries and advances in the field of Science. (Currently fangirling over the LHC and waiting for the exciting evidence of the Big Bang!) I make jokes of almost anything and have a weird and almost rude sense of humor. Don't take any offense to it as I don't mean to hurt anyone. I make a lot of religious jokes so sorry if that is offending. Dx HEY I'M AN ATHEIST WHAT CAN I SAY??? 8D

I love music. My website image may be misleading; I don't listen to Asian-centric music like most of my friends do (I have no objections, its just not my thing). Most of my life is centered around music and I guess for a girl you can say I have odd tastes. I'm not into the pop culture that is today. I love many genres of metal including: speed, power, viking, death, doom, progressive, and many other combinations. When most people think of metal, they think Linkin Park, Korn, Marilyn Manson, etc. They are as much metal as *NSYNC is metal. They are the pop music of metal.

Favorite bands: Agalloch, Apocalyptica, Communic, Scary Symmetry, Crystal Viper, Dark Sanctuary, Devin Townsend, Draconian, Porcupine Tree, Slough Feg, and many others. You can see my last.fm profile to see my favorite bands and music. Maybe I'll convert you to be a metalhead like me. ▇ The next thing that I saw as, things were fading fast

Now when you see the design of my layout (oh yes yet another animu design! How cliche!), you'll think I'm an asian animu nut. Well on the contrary. It's quite the opposite. I'm rather picky when it comes to anime. I used to like it a lot when I was younger, but have since lost interest in it due to my increasing love of metal music and have since been listening to more music than watching animu. I do have a few favorites (most of which are very old) and have no real interest in new anime though some are a few exceptions. I also like to read manga but that is even rarer than me watching anime. I have no interst in yaoi or shounen-ai besides one or two stories I've read and it amuses me that so many girls today squeal over it but I don't get it. Wtf is so hot about gay men? Do they really do that to irl men too? The more scary fangirls ship REAL people together. It's so overated it's pathetic. But hey if you don't throw your yaoifangirlyness onto me then we're fine. I just don't like it shoved in my face.

Video games! Well since I was introduced to first person shooters a while back via Steam, I fell in love with Video Games again. I didn't use to like Video Games because I sucked (I still do) but hell I have fun. I love mostly PC based video games and mostly first person shooters but I do like the occasional RPG, Fantasy and silly virtual pet types. I have to use a gameshark or a cheat device to move though some of the game but I do pretty good on my own since my skills have improved. Now I play video games almost obsessively.

Favorites: Assassin's Creed, Half-Life 2, Portal, Team Fortress 2, Half-Life episodes, Halo, Counter-Strike Source, Call of Duty, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Resident Evil series, Silent Hill, Phoenix Wright series (excluding Apollo Justice), Sonic games, Final Fantasy 7,8,9 and now 10!, Disgaea Hour of Darkness, Pokemon, etc.

Now, you also probably made the assumption that I am either a Microsoft Windows or Apple OS user. Well to assume anything makes you an ass (just kidding!) so neither is correct. I'm a proud user of Fedora Linux 9, an open-source operating system. I've been a supporter of open source software for about 2 years. I'm very bitchy and nitpicky when people refuse to open their eyes and are close-minded on related subjects. I strive to educate anyone who'll listen to me about my love for Linux and other open-source programs. I have a small site in the works to educate people of my community about the beauty and wonders of what is Fedora Linux.

This last part of the webpage is about the layout and miscellaneous tidbits. The layout features Kallen and Lelouch from the animu Code Geass, a favorite anime of mine. It was coded with XHTML and CSS by hand in the default text editor in Fedora Linux. It was done on inspiration by listening to Porcupine Tree's album Up the Downstair and features lyrics of the song Small Fish. They were in the headings if you didn't notice ;) The last paragraph of the song is in the image header itself. If you can't read it, here it is in the next paragraph.
